My involvement in field spaniels, conformation and breeding began when my first field spaniel, Wicksford's Jeanie CGC joined my family in 1987.  My first litter was born in August of 1996 on Dave's birthday.

Since that time, we have bred several litters, finished championships for our own dogs, and had the pleasure of watching other dogs of our breeding finish their championships.  Several  dogs of our breeding are competing in conformation, obedience, agility and tracking. One works as a therapy dog at a nursing home.

In addition to conformation, Dave and I have been training a couple of our dogs in tracking.  We have also trained in agility and obedience.

When not working with our dogs, Dave and I are educators, teaching philosophy and advising college students.

We breed infrequently, about one litter a year.  Our puppies are raised in our home as part of the family.  We try to stay in touch with the puppies' new families to offer support and to enjoy hearing about how the puppies develop .

Although we sometimes have as many as sixteen dogs in the house, counting puppies, we are protected by our "watch cockatiel," Captain, who is usually the first to alert us that someone is at the door.

Dave and I are members of the Field Spaniel Society of America, the Saratoga Kennel Club, and the Northeast Field Spaniel Club.  I have served on the boards of all three organizations.
